Resurrection

Paying homage to the rebirth of cicadas that came out this year, celebrating their long periods of struggle followed by brief period of ecstasy (which we all can relate). There is something profound about this resurrection that only happens in 17 years. Nature is truly a wonder and awe inspiring. 
 
This is an original drawing hand carved on lino block. Printed with Cranfield oil based ink on  9" x 9" gold metallic handmade Nepalese lokta paper. This unique Nepalese paper is shimmery and naturally very textured. 
 
Each print varies slightly from photo due to handmade nature.
Initialed, titled and numbered on the back.
Small batch run, limited edition of 22.
